So why Pop-Up-Paws? And why me?

Pop-Up-Paws is a unique and exciting concept.

There is nothing like it in Sheffield.

And I should know.

As a teacher and dog owner (Hello Alfie, pictured above left), I know all about the challenges we face trying to find suitable cost-effective accommodation for dogs during school holidays.

Traditional kennels do an adequate job but it is disappointing to return from holiday only to find my dogs were stressed and voiceless (should that be barkless?).  Pet sitters are an alternative. However, this is expensive and adds additional stress if you have to make sure your own house is spotless before you go away!!

How much better if there was a dog hotel where they could be treated exactly as they are at home… if only….if only…. if only? A home from home, if you like!

So the obvious question: why not provide my own ‘pop-up’ hotel to cover the busy school holiday periods?

I am an experienced ‘doggy parent’ and spend most of the holidays on long walks with my dog Alfie (he’s the one looking back at me in this picture). Having the company of some doggy friends coming to stay during the holidays would be a real bonus and a win-win situation for all of us.

I have also passed dog certification exams and Sheffield City Council has given me a licence to open my hotel after a thorough inspection.

This is a very exclusive hotel. Only five guests can stay at any one time so we can give them the proper care and attention they need.
